The task: a simulated long-distance trip from Munich to Berlin, at zero degrees Celsius, at highway speed. The result is sobering and informative at the same time.

In heavy city traffic, the start-stop system has long become standard. Yet not all drivers use it consistently. Many taxi drivers also turn off the system directly after starting the ride - whether out of habit or concern about the vehicle's wear and tear. However, the automatic system can noticeably reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
