Shell expands fast charging network: 500th location opens in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Shell Recharge has opened in Rheda-Wiedenbrück (North Rhine-Westphalia) its largest German ultra-fast charging park to date. The site also marks the 500th charging point in the German Shell Recharge network.
The new charging hub comprises a total of twelve ultra-fast charging points, of which four are also suitable for trucks and motorhomes up to twelve meters in length. The facility is conveniently located at the A2 exit Rheda-Wiedenbrück and the B61, directly next to an existing Shell service station on Bielefelder Straße.

Shell concentrates the expansion of its public fast-charging network on high-traffic locations, particularly at its own gas stations. Additional charging points are also being created in cooperation with partners such as Rewe, Penny, KFC, and the operator of retail park centers Redevco.
