Partnership in Amberg: Taxi Penschok adopts the Freenow system

Freenow by Lyft has equipped the taxi company Penschok in Amberg with a digital dispatch system. The solution consolidates various functions essential for operating a taxi company and enables the integration of app bookings, telephone orders, and in-person customer service into a central platform.

Centralized fleet control

At the heart of the collaboration is dispatch software that allows Taxi Penschok to centrally manage its entire fleet. Rides booked via the Freenow app feed into the system just like telephone orders or in-person inquiries. This means both digital demand and traditional phone business are managed through a single interface.

Benefits for passengers

Customers in Amberg will in future be able to choose flexibly between various booking channels. In addition to app bookings, telephone orders will continue to be available. The integration also enables the use of contactless payment methods, as well as the processing of rides billed to an account, for example for companies or health insurers.

Taxi Penschok

Taxi Penschok has been active in Amberg since 1980 and since 2023 has been run by Benjamin Vogel in the second generation. The family business operates a fleet of up to 15 vehicles, including large-capacity taxis, electric and hybrid vehicles, and limousines. With the new solution, the company aims to reach both its existing regular customers and new customer groups via digital channels.
