The entry is effortless thanks to sliding doors and a low sill. Even with the rear bench in the upright position, there is plenty of storage space; folded, a loading area is created that resembles more a van than a passenger car.
The cockpit looks uncluttered. The infotainment responds quickly, the menus stay clear. In terms of materials, hard plastic dominates – functional, but sober. This fits the usage concept, but compared with classic EV SUVs, it appears matter-of-fact.
Variants for (almost) everyone
The model range shows how broad the field of use is. The classic transporter (Cargo) scores with over four cubic meters of cargo volume, different wheelbases and roof heights. The flat floor and the low loading edge facilitate loading – and Kia has also thought of plenty of load-securing provisions. Those who need to transport people and cargo opt for the Model Crew with a sliding rear bench and loading wall.
Our test model was the Kia PV5 Passenger. With five to seven seats, variably foldable, it is suitable as an E-Van for the family, as a shuttle or taxi.
