Hyundai lowers prices for taxi packages.

Hyundai lowers the prices for taxi conversions of several models. Together with the conversion partner Intax, the manufacturer has revised the terms according to its own statements. For the all-electric “Hyundai Ioniq 5”, the taxi package is now available from €1,000. Additionally, Hyundai is cooperating with Taxi-Rent to offer replacement vehicles to taxi companies in the event of vehicle failures.

Ioniq 5 is €490 cheaper

For the Ioniq 5, Hyundai reduces the price of the taxi package relative to the previous terms by €490. The package includes a premium wrap in the taxi color light ivory as well as several pre-installations for taxi operation.

According to the manufacturer, this includes the preparation for taximeters, roof signs and radio equipment as well as a legally required taxi emergency alarm system. The package price starts at €1,000.

New prices for additional models

Hyundai has also adjusted the terms of the taxi packages for other models. Across the model range, the costs for the conversions are to fall by up to €990.

For the Hyundai i30 wagon, the taxi package including wrapping costs €1,500. For the Hyundai Tucson, €2,000 including wrapping are due. For the Hyundai Staria, the package price including wrapping is €3,000.

Thus the offer covers different vehicle types. In addition to the i30 wagon and the Tucson, Hyundai offers the Staria for taxi use. The model can carry up to nine passengers according to the manufacturer.

Replacement vehicles during downtime

In addition to the new upfit conditions, Hyundai expands the offer with a partnership with Taxi-Rent. Through the provider, taxi companies should be able to access taxi- and rental-car replacement vehicles for repairs, maintenance or other vehicle failures.

Thus Hyundai adds a solution for operation-related downtimes to the taxi packages. Taxi companies should be able to obtain a replacement vehicle via the cooperation partner in the event of a failure of their vehicle. (Source: Hyundai Motor Germany)
