Go Fleet Special Vehicles and the Federal Association of Taxi and Rental Cars have launched an exclusive vehicle offering for member companies of the association. According to the association, the portfolio includes vehicles from Volkswagen, BYD, and Ford. The range extends from prepared rental cars and equipped taxis to special vehicles for the transportation of the sick and disabled.

Go Fleet Special Vehicles belongs to the association's circle of partners. As part of the collaboration, member companies should be able to handle vehicle procurement and the industry-specific upfitting through a single provider.

Three equipment packages for BYD models

For the BYD models, the rental-car package starts at €31,990 including VAT. The equipment includes, among other things, an alarm system, a CAN adapter, and the pre-wiring for a distance meter.

For use as a taxi, Go Fleet offers a package starting at €33,290 including VAT. In addition to the rental-car equipment, it includes an exterior wrap in light ivory as well as pre-wirings for a taximeter and a roof sign.

A complete package is available from €35,890 including VAT and is intended to enable a largely turnkey handover as a taxi. It includes, among other things, the declaration of conformity in accordance with the Regulation on the Operation of Motor Vehicle Companies in Passenger Transport, tariff configuration, calibration, and the integration of the technical safety device. Further individual equipment options are possible according to the provider. Financing and leasing are offered on request.

Four BYD models approved for conversion

For taxi- or rental-car conversion, the models “BYD Atto 3 Evo”, “BYD Seal U BEV”, “BYD Seal U DM-i” and “BYD Seal 6 Touring DM-i” are currently approved. In particular, stock is currently available for the BYD Seal 6 Touring DM-i.

The plug-in hybrid achieves, according to the release, depending on the variant an electric range according to the Worldwide harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure of around 50 to 101 kilometers. The combined range is stated to be up to 1,350 kilometers.

Special vehicles for transporting the sick and disabled

The offer also includes Ford special vehicles for different areas of operation. Among other things, solutions for transporting the sick and disabled as well as vehicles for transporting passengers in a wheelchair or in a lying position are planned. Depending on the configuration, these vehicles can also be ordered with taxi equipment.

According to the Federal Association, various vehicles are available on short notice. Depending on the respective model and the individual conversion effort, the deployment-ready handover could take place within a few weeks. Go Fleet bundles vehicle procurement, industry-specific conversion, and commissioning.

The vehicle offer is exclusively aimed at members of the Federal Association of Taxi and Rental Cars. Further information on vehicles, equipment, and conditions is provided by the association via its member portal TaxiPlus. (Source: Federal Association of Taxi and Rental Cars)
