Dacia Jogger as a taxi: new powertrains, more range and a comprehensive facelift.
Intax expands its range of taxi and rental car equipment and now also makes the Dacia Jogger available for commercial passenger transport. A prerequisite is the combination of the vehicle with a specially developed taxi package from the conversion specialist. At the same time, development work for a taxi solution for the Dacia Bigster is nearing completion.
Expansion of Dacia's commercial offering
Following the Dacia Duster, the Jogger is another model from the brand offered for taxi and rental-car use. The Jogger is available with either five or seven seats, thus targeting applications such as group trips, student transport, or airport transfers. The cargo volume is up to 708 liters in the five-seat configuration and can be expanded to a maximum of 1,819 liters by folding down the rear seat.
Powertrains with a focus on efficiency
For professional use, two drivetrain variants are in focus particularly. The new Hybrid 155 replaces the previous Hybrid 140. It combines a 1.8-liter petrol engine with two electric motors, a 1.4-kWh battery, and an automatic multimode transmission. The system output is 155 hp with a torque of 170 Nm. According to the manufacturer, fuel consumption and emissions are reduced by around ten percent compared with the predecessor. In urban driving, the Jogger can spend up to 80 percent of its driving time purely electric; starting is always in electric mode.
Alternatively, the new Eco-G 120 is available, replacing the previous Eco-G 100. The 1.2-liter turbo engine delivers 120 hp and is for the first time available at Dacia with an automatic transmission in conjunction with LPG drive. The enlarged autogas tank holds 48.8 liters, up from 40 liters, and increases the range in gas operation by about 20 percent. Overall, the total range amounts to around 1,480 kilometers.
Taxi conversion from a single source
Intax handles the technical implementation of taxi and rental-car equipment. The scope of services includes, among other things, pre-wiring for taximeters or distance counters, radio equipment, roof signs, a taxi emergency alarm system, and a central interior lighting circuit. Optional wraps in ivory or alternative colored paint-protection films are available. All installations and conversions are fully reversible and comply with the Intax reverse-retrofit system RSY.
Warranty and planning certainty
For the Jogger, the Dacia loyalty warranty is available, which can be extended during maintenance at an authorized partner to up to seven years or 150,000 kilometers. This is intended to provide fleet operators with additional planning certainty.
Facelift with technical and cosmetic revisions
Soon a comprehensively revised Jogger will hit the market. The facelift includes, among other things, a new LED light signature in an inverted T shape on the front, a modified grille, and new LED pixel lights at the rear. In addition, a new exterior color named “Sandstone” will be introduced.
In the interior, the Media Display System will henceforth be part of the standard equipment in the Expression, Extreme and Journey trim lines. It comprises a central 10.1-inch HD touchscreen as well as wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Prices
The Dacia Jogger Eco-G 120 with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission starts at €24,390. For the Hybrid 155, €27,390 is charged. The cheapest entry into the Hybrid range is in the Expression equipment package at €23,990. (Source: INTAX.de)
