Volvo Car Germany remains loyal to the taxi industry: V60 to be used as a taxi in the future

With a taximeter, roof sign, and the optional ivory-colored wrap, the mid-range model V60 becomes a comfortable companion for drivers and passengers. After the Cologne-based importer signed a framework agreement with the two major German taxi associations "Bundesverband Taxi und Mietwagen e.V." (BVTM) and "Taxi- und Mietwagen-Verband Deutschland e.V." (TMV) last summer, the Volvo V60 now adds another model to the range of the Swedish premium automotive brand. This allows sole proprietors and fleet operators to choose from almost the entire model and drivetrain portfolio – from the compact SUV to the spacious wagon, from the mild hybrid to the plug-in hybrid drive to the pure electric drive.

V60 as Mild Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid

For the Volvo V60, various drive options are available as a taxi: In addition to a 145 kW (197 hp) B4 gasoline engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, there are two powerful yet efficient plug-in hybrid drives to choose from, enabling all-electric driving for up to 92 kilometers. Orders can be conveniently placed through the nearest dealership, and Volvo takes care of the professional conversion.
