ChargeHere puts 160 charging points into operation at the Dortmund headquarters of the Continentale insurance group.

EnBW subsidiary ChargeHere, a full-service provider for charging infrastructure, has put one of the largest charging locations in North Rhine-Westphalia into operation at the Dortmund headquarters of the Continentale insurance group. The joint project includes the installation of 160 charging points. By establishing a future-oriented location in Dortmund, Continentale strengthens environmentally friendly mobility for employees as well as the efficiency of its own fleet.

Expansion of the Charging Infrastructure at the Company Site Serves as an Important Lever for the Transition to E-Mobility

Since January 2025, employees - both privately and with company vehicles - and guests can charge their electric vehicles at the 160 ChargeHere charging points in the company parking garage. Christian Plothe, Head of Internal Service at Continentale Insurance Group, explains:

"For our employees who do not have a wallbox at home, we have now created a reliable charging option. With this, we consciously want to strengthen the motivation to perhaps choose an electric vehicle for the next car." With the commissioning of the charging infrastructure, Continentale not only promotes the individual use of electric vehicles but also lays the foundation for further reducing CO2 emissions.
