As part of the new charging card offering, members of the Federal Association of Taxi and Rental Car e.V. (BVTM) will be provided with a common, uniform charging card. This enables charging under predefined terms in the public charging network and provides access to several hundred thousand charging points across Europe. The charging card offering is specifically tailored to the requirements of taxi and rental-car fleets in daily operation.

The charging card is offered in the design of the federal association. Smartlab assumes the role of the E-Mobility Provider (EMP) and thereby takes responsibility for the complete handling of the charging card offering. With this charging card offer, taxi and rental-car companies obtain a solution that can be used without any administrative overhead on their part. At the same time, it facilitates access to charging infrastructure with clearly defined terms and thus provides better predictability of charging costs in daily fleet operations. In addition, the charging app supports daily operations: charging points can be found easily, charging sessions can be started directly, and routes with suitable stops can be planned.
