Eurotaxi Trade Fair 2026 in Cologne: the taxi and car rental industry meets in November.

For the industry, the event has been a fixed date on the calendar for decades – every two years manufacturers, intermediaries, entrepreneurs and drivers come together to discuss technology, regulation and the future of the sector. Most recently, the trade fair had gained momentum again in 2024. About 80 exhibitors presented vehicles, software, billing systems or accessories. Around 11,000 visitors from Germany and several European countries came to Cologne, including entrepreneurs, drivers as well as representatives from politics and administration.

Hall nearly sold out

The next edition picks up where this left off. The organizer is again the Fachvereinigung Personenverkehr Nordrhein Taxi Mietwagen e.V. Its chairman, Markus Gossmann, notes that the location has proven itself. The trade fair will again take place in Hall 1, which had proven suitable for exhibitors and visitors in 2024. Demand from the industry appears to be present. By the end of February, according to the organizers, around 55 companies had already booked booth space – many of them had been there two years ago. For Ralf Nüsser, managing director of Koelncongress GmbH, the development shows that Cologne is gaining acceptance as a location. The trade fair has grown by more than a fifth since its return from Essen.

In the coming weeks, more companies will receive the official invitation to participate. The current floor plan is available online. The organizers expect the exhibitor roster to expand significantly. In terms of content, the fair addresses topics that are currently occupying the industry: changes in passenger transport law, new drive systems and questions of energy supply, but also greater integration of taxis into public transport. Another focus is on accessible vehicles for inclusive rides.
