The TAXIplus member area of the Federal Association of Taxi and Rental Cars e.V. is expanding: As of today, the association is cooperating with Renault Deutschland AG. This expands the benefits program for member companies to include additional taxi models from the manufacturer and, for the first time, vehicles of the Dacia brand.

According to the association, members will in the future receive special conditions for cash purchases and for financing. Details on the conditions are available in the protected member area.

Expanded Model Range for the Taxi Industry

Already to date, the models “Renault Trafic” and “Renault Kangoo” were available as taxis. With the new partnership, there is now an expansion of the vehicle range. In addition to further Renault models, vehicles from the group brand Dacia will also be integrated into the taxi offering.

These include the models “Duster III” and “Bigster,” which are equipped with hybrid powertrains and feature an elevated seating position. Furthermore, the “Jogger” will be offered as a taxi. The model is designed as a seven-seater and is available with a hybrid powertrain as well as in LPG variants. An automatic transmission version is also available.

Conversion via External Providers

Interested taxi operators nationwide can contact official Renault or Dacia partners. The taxi-specific conversion of the vehicles is carried out by INTAX GmbH, according to the association.

Representatives of the federal association noted that vehicles of both brands had already been presented at industry events. Accordingly, models at this year's Taxi and Rental Car Day were represented as exhibitor vehicles by a car dealership from Erlangen. In addition, individual models such as Jogger and Bigster have already been in service as taxis.

With the cooperation, the association aims to expand the range of vehicles with different propulsion types and equipment variants for the taxi and rental-car trade. (Source: Bundesverband Taxi und Mietwagen e. V.)
