Intax outfits the Dacia Duster for taxi use.
Dacia has comprehensively updated the Duster's engine lineup. With the Hybrid 155, the Mild Hybrid 140, and the Eco-G 120, three new variants replace their respective predecessors. In addition, the Hybrid-G 150 4x4 expands the range. All models meet the EU6e-bis emission standard. The new Hybrid 155 combines a 109 hp petrol engine with two electric motors, a 1.4-kWh battery, and an automatic electric transmission without a clutch. It enables a high share of electric driving in city traffic and generally starts in EV mode. The combined fuel consumption is 4.6 liters per 100 kilometers, according to the manufacturer, and CO₂ emissions are 105 g/km. The entry price in Germany is €25,690.
Taxi retrofit solutions from Intax
Alongside the model refresh, Intax offers suitable retrofit packages for taxi and rental-car use of the Duster. The solutions include a light ivory wrap, optionally with TPU paint protection, pre-wiring for taximeters or distance counters, and a legally required emergency alarm system. In addition, interior leather upholstery and a roof-sign pre-wiring are part of the package. All components are fully reversible under the RSY system.
Technical equipment of the packages
The scope of delivery also includes a radio pre-wiring, a central interior lighting circuit, and an instruction manual. The taxi packages additionally include a pre-wiring for HALE roof signs. The retrofit offerings are available for all available Duster powertrains.
Prices and ordering information
The costs of the packages for the 2024 model year vary depending on the variant and wrapping. With wrapping they amount to €3,150 or €1,490, without wrapping to €2,790 or €1,090. Vehicles with differently painted mirrors are also wrapped.
Intax notes that the roof sign switch must be ordered separately if the control is not intended to be carried out exclusively via the taximeter. A console for conventional taximeters is available via code 014 or the Premium package. The appropriate roof sign including a mounting system can be ordered via code 045 or also via the Premium package. (Source: INTAX.de, motor1)
