A freighter in flames: "Morning Midas" with around 800 electric cars in distress off the Mexican coast

A car carrier is drifting burning and rudderless in the Pacific. On the night of June 3rd, the distress call from the Morning Midas was received. The Panama-flagged RoRo ship was on its way from China to Mexico - on board were around 3,000 brand-new vehicles, including about 800 electric cars according to initial information.
