TMV awards the honorary title of "Taxi Ambassador" to State Secretary for Transport Höppner

The Taxi and Rental Car Association of Germany (TMV) has awarded the honorary title of "Taxi Ambassador" to the permanent state secretary in the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, Hartmut Höppner. The award was given immediately before the change at the top of the ministry. 

TMV President Thomas Kroker, Chief Executive Officer Patrick Meinhardt, and Office Manager Nico Höttges personally presented the certificate in the state secretary's office.

Recognition for Collaboration and Commitment 

According to the association, the award recognizes the long-standing and trustworthy collaboration with Höppner. The TMV particularly highlights his commitment to fair political conditions in mobility. 

Other mentioned reasons for the appointment include the commitment to sustainable mobility concepts, the principles of an honorable merchant, and the support of an innovative public transport system in which the taxi is a key component.

The text of this TMV certificate emphasizes this appreciation with the following words:

"(...) The TMV is deeply grateful and pays high respect for this commitment, which expresses great passion, enthusiasm, and connection to the family of taxi and rental car companies.”

Unanimous Decision of the TMV Executive Board 

The TMV Executive Board had unanimously decided to grant the award. According to the association, the award was deliberately created for personalities who have made significant contributions to the concerns of the taxi and rental car industry.

State Secretary Höppner was deeply pleased about this award: 

"I had not expected this and am extremely grateful. The collaboration with the TMV was and is very good, even if we could not always agree. But what is important is that the short way is there and the connection worked well."
