Berlin makes it possible: modular toilets for taxi drivers, tourists and city residents

Anyone who spends a lot of time in public spaces for work develops their own view of a city's infrastructure. For taxi drivers, this includes, in addition to stopping points, charging points or traffic signs, a topic that is rarely discussed: public toilets. Berlin addressed this question systematically a few years ago – with a concept that has since been evaluated.

Not only for taxi drivers — World Toilet Day in Berlin sheds light on the history of the Café Achteck.

If you spend the whole day on the go, public toilets become more important. For this year's World Toilet Day on 19 November, the Berlin Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment turns its gaze to a piece of urban ingenuity: the historic "Café Achteck".
