1,500 buses: OV Steinborn further expands its market position in mini and midi buses
On April 14, 2025, OV Steinborn GmbH delivered its 1500th new vehicle. The company, based in Germany, specializes in mini and midibuses and achieved this milestone approximately two and a half years after delivering its 1000th vehicle in December 2022. The division was founded in 2009 and has continuously developed since then.
International Expansion and Production Growth
In the past two and a half years, OV Steinborn GmbH has significantly expanded its international presence. In addition to the already existing locations in Germany and Spain, new branches have been opened in Italy and Ireland. A key step towards capacity expansion was also the commissioning of a new production facility in Turkey at the end of 2023.
Anniversary Vehicle for Long-standing Customer
The recipient of the 1500th vehicle was the company Effen & Werner, a long-standing customer of OV Steinborn. The delivered bus is a Mercedes Sprinter with 20 seats in a tourism version. In total, Effen & Werner operates around 30 vehicles from the manufacturer.
Broad Product Portfolio
The offerings from OV Steinborn include mini and midibuses with seating capacities ranging from eight to 33 seats. The vehicles are used in various areas of application – from school and city buses to touring coaches. Various vehicle brands such as Opel, MAN, IVECO, and Mercedes are served. The company also covers a wide range of drives: from diesel to CNG and electric drives.
