Lufthansa CEO: E-fuels belong in airplanes rather than in cars.

(dpa/tk) Lufthansa CEO Spohr regards e-fuels as sensible mainly in aviation and calls for a public debate about their deployment. In road traffic, it is far more efficient to rely on electric cars than to operate vehicles powered by e-fuels.

E-Fuels from Frankfurt: New Large-Scale Plant by Ineratec – Hope or Wrong Path for Traffic?

In the Höchst Industrial Park in Frankfurt, the Karlsruhe-based company Ineratec has commissioned Europe's largest facility for the production of synthetic fuels in early June. The power-to-liquid facility "ERA ONE" produces up to 2,500 tons of e-fuels and synthetic crude oil annually.
